About the Role
Fatgbems Petroleum Company Limited, a prominent independent petroleum marketing company in Nigeria with extensive retail and tank farm operations, is seeking a dedicated and trustworthy Cash Officer to join our finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for handling daily cash transactions, maintaining precise financial records, and ensuring strict adherence to company financial policies and internal controls.
Key Responsibilities- Receive, count, and verify all cash and payment receipts accurately at the designated location.
- Maintain comprehensive records of daily cash transactions and ensure proper documentation.
- Prepare and submit accurate daily cash reports to the appropriate supervisor.
- Perform regular reconciliations of physical cash balances against financial records, reporting any discrepancies promptly.
- Process approved cash payments and maintain complete supporting vouchers and receipts.
- Manage bank deposits and execute assigned cash-related banking operations.
- Monitor cash levels to guarantee adequate funds for authorized transactions.
- Participate in periodic cash counts and support internal audit processes.
- Ensure full compliance with corporate financial policies and statutory procedures.
- National Diploma (ND) or Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, or a related discipline.
- 0 to 2 years of relevant professional experience, though exceptional fresh graduates with strong aptitude will be considered.
- Working knowledge of fundamental accounting principles and cash management operations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, with strong capabilities in Microsoft Excel.
