About the Role
Collins American International Academy - CAIA, a prestigious Cambridge international school, is seeking a dedicated and meticulous Janitor to join our vibrant campus team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic environment that supports world-class learning and development for our students and staff.
Key Responsibilities- Perform general cleaning and maintenance duties across classrooms, hallways, restrooms, offices, and recreational areas.
- Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum floors regularly using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical solutions.
- Empty trash receptacles, dispose of waste safely, and maintain clean waste disposal areas.
- Sanitize high-touch surfaces, including door handles, handrails, and light switches, to promote health and safety.
- Report any maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards promptly to school administration.
- Assist with setting up rooms for school events, assemblies, and parent-teacher meetings as required.
- Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are stored securely and properly maintained after use.
- Minimum of a SSCE or relevant academic qualification from a recognized institution.
- Proven professional experience working as a janitor, cleaner, or facility caretaker, preferably in an educational setting.
- Strong knowledge of standard cleaning techniques, chemical safety, and sanitation protocols.
- Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Good physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a trustworthy, reliable, and detail-oriented disposition.
