About the Role
Beth'Neills Playhouse & Preschool, a premier faith-based early childhood education center in Calabar, Cross River State, is seeking a dedicated Janitor to join our team. Under the visionary leadership of CEO Lucy O'Neill, we maintain a nurturing environment where children play, learn, and develop at their individual paces. This role is essential to ensuring our facility remains clean, hygienic, and conducive to optimal learning and development.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards across all facility areas including classrooms, hallways, restrooms, and common areas
- Perform daily cleaning, sweeping, mopping, and sanitization of designated zones
- Manage waste disposal and recycling in compliance with institutional standards
- Ensure bathrooms are stocked with supplies and maintained to the highest sanitary standards
- Support setup and breakdown of facilities for events and activities
- Report maintenance issues and equipment needs promptly
- Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies inventory
- Follow health and safety protocols at all times
- B.Sc, B.Ed, or NCE certification
- Proven experience in facility maintenance or janitorial services
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physical capability to perform manual cleaning duties
- Knowledge of safety and hygiene best practices
