About the Role
Growth in Value Alliance (GV Alliance) Partners is recruiting an experienced IT Security Engineer to join a dynamic project team in Nigeria. In this role, you will lead cybersecurity initiatives, design robust security controls, and protect critical enterprise data across complex network architectures.
Key Responsibilities- Lead cybersecurity initiatives in collaboration with the Group Cybersecurity team.
- Design, document, and deploy secure infrastructure solutions to protect enterprise data and applications.
- Drive internal and external vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, and remediation efforts.
- Manage security incident response processes to ensure timely resolution of security events.
- Maintain network integrity across LAN, WAN, MAN, and GAN environments while troubleshooting system faults.
- Implement and manage security tools including firewalls, WAF, IDS/IPS, and anti-malware software.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure technical plans and security policies minimize operational risks.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with a minimum of 5 years of specialized IT security experience.
- Prior experience working in a large enterprise organization, preferably within the telecommunications industry.
- Strong background as an Engineer or Architect in application security, network technologies, and infrastructure.
- Extensive knowledge of firewalls, VPN, intrusion detection, vulnerability assessment tools, and encryption technologies.
- Familiarity with Microsoft, Solaris, Unix, Oracle, and MS SQL platforms.
- Relevant professional training in penetration testing, vulnerability lifecycle management, and advanced incident response.
