About the Role
Benin Electricity Distribution Plc (BEDC) is one of the premier retail electricity distribution companies licensed by the Federal Government, powering millions of households across Delta, Edo, Ekiti, and Ondo States. We are currently seeking a dedicated and analytical IT Auditor to join our growing team. In this pivotal role, you will conduct independent audits of our information systems, infrastructure, and technology processes, ensuring robust cybersecurity and operational efficiency across our network.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and execute comprehensive IT audits aligned with approved audit plans and industry standards.
- Assess the effectiveness and adequacy of IT general controls, application controls, and cybersecurity measures.
- Evaluate organizational compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
- Review critical processes including system development, change management, data management, access controls, and disaster recovery.
- Identify technology-related vulnerabilities and recommend strategic risk-mitigation measures.
- Prepare clear, detailed audit reports highlighting findings, associated risks, and actionable recommendations for management.
- Monitor and follow up on the timely implementation of agreed audit recommendations.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional technology and business teams to foster a strong internal control environment.
- Possession of an HND, B.Sc, or B.Eng in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline.
- 2 to 3 years of relevant professional experience in IT Audit, Information Security, or Risk Management.
- Recognized professional certifications such as CISA, CISSP, CISM, or CRISC are a distinct advantage.
- Strong working knowledge of ERP systems, databases, network security, and cloud technologies.
