About the Role
Koins Microfinance Bank Limited is a fully licensed technology and impact-driven microfinance bank dedicated to driving financial inclusion through innovative loans, savings, and investment solutions. We are currently seeking a proactive and skilled IT Security Analyst to join our dynamic technology team in safeguarding our digital assets, maintaining customer trust, and ensuring robust cybersecurity postures across our banking infrastructure in Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor and analyze real-time security alerts utilizing SIEM, firewalls, and IDS/IPS tools to detect anomalies.
- Detect, investigate, and effectively respond to cybersecurity incidents in a timely manner.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and support scheduled penetration testing exercises.
- Review comprehensive system and network logs to identify unauthorized or suspicious activities.
- Implement, monitor, and maintain advanced security controls and industry best practices.
- Perform comprehensive risk assessments and recommend actionable mitigation strategies.
- Ensure strict compliance with internal security policies and relevant regulatory standards within the financial sector.
- Bachelor’s degree or HND in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline.
- Strong working knowledge of core networking concepts including TCP/IP, VPNs, and firewalls.
- Hands-on experience managing and securing both Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Familiarity with SIEM solutions, IDS/IPS, and modern endpoint protection tools.
- Solid understanding of evolving cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and effective risk management frameworks.
- Basic scripting capabilities in Python, PowerShell, or Bash will be considered a distinct advantage.
