About the Role
The Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospitals Complex (OAUTHC), a premier healthcare institution in Nigeria, is seeking a dedicated and qualified professional to join our ICT team as an IT Officer II. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining and enhancing the digital infrastructure that supports our medical, administrative, and academic operations, ensuring seamless technology integration across our facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Provide first- and second-line technical support for hardware, software, and network systems across the hospital complex.
- Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer systems, servers, and printers.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity and IT-related issues reported by various departments.
- Maintain database systems, ensure regular data backups, and support digital health record initiatives.
- Collaborate with senior IT staff to implement network security measures and software updates.
- Train hospital staff on the proper usage of new software applications and IT equipment.
- Possession of a good university degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field.
- Evidence of completion, exemption, or exclusion from the mandatory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) scheme.
- Possession of a current practicing license issued by the relevant professional body, where applicable.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Basic knowledge of network administration, hardware troubleshooting, and database management.
- Conditions of service are attractive and similar to those obtainable in the Federal Public Service and Federal Tertiary Health Institutions in Nigeria.
- Remuneration package aligned with CONHESS 07 Step 02 (N1,919,142.00 per annum).
