About the Role
Green Africa is a Lagos-based airline with a mission to be the quality airline that will better connect people and resources in Nigeria, and further, open up the West African seaboard. We are currently looking for a driven and tech-savvy IT Infrastructure Support Intern to join our growing team. This role provides an exceptional opportunity to gain hands-on experience in cloud computing, systems administration, and DevOps practices within a fast-paced aviation environment.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in managing and maintaining on-premises and cloud infrastructure including servers, networks, and storage systems.
- Support the setup, configuration, and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines for seamless application deployment.
- Monitor system performance, uptime, and security posture, proactively responding to incidents and outages.
- Help automate repetitive operational tasks using scripting tools such as Bash and Python.
- Support infrastructure as code implementations using industry-standard tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Perform routine system upgrades, security patches, and data backups.
- Document infrastructure configurations, standard operating procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
- Assist in enforcing security best practices, including access control management and vulnerability assessments.
- Provide reliable technical support for internal systems and infrastructure-related issues.
- Bachelor's Degree or HND in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of core networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, and VPNs.
- Familiarity with Linux and Unix systems administration fundamentals.
- Exposure to major cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Basic knowledge of DevOps practices, version control, and tools like Git, GitHub, or GitLab.
- Familiarity with containerization, orchestration, and monitoring tools is a strong plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a genuine eagerness to learn.
