About the Role
Seven Up Bottling Company, a global icon in the beverage industry with a rich history of iconic branding and refreshing innovation, is looking for a skilled IT Core Infrastructure Engineer. In this vital role, you will help reduce infrastructure downtime and operational risks, ensure the swift resolution of virtual machine and server-related issues, and execute timely server administration and maintenance tasks to support our growing enterprise operations in Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Administer and maintain Windows and Linux servers and virtual machines to ensure high availability, performance, and reliability.
- Monitor server, VM, storage, and system performance to proactively identify and resolve potential issues.
- Perform server provisioning, configuration, patching, upgrades, and routine maintenance tasks.
- Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, user accounts, permissions, and access controls securely.
- Manage and monitor backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes to guarantee continuous data availability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex server, VM, operating system, and infrastructure-related incidents.
- Manage server capacity, resource utilization, and overall infrastructure performance metrics.
- Implement security hardening, vulnerability remediation, and system updates aligned with corporate IT security requirements.
- Maintain accurate system documentation, configurations, asset records, and technical standard operating procedures.
- Support critical infrastructure projects, system deployments, migrations, and enterprise technology upgrades.
- Liaise with external vendors and service providers regarding infrastructure incidents and technical escalations.
- Ensure strict compliance with internal IT policies, industry standards, SLAs, and operational procedures.
- Bachelor's degree or HND in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Relevant professional certifications such as Microsoft, VMware, Linux, or equivalent IT certifications will be a strong advantage.
- 3 to 5 years of hands-on professional experience in system and server administration.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with practical, hands-on experience managing Windows Server, Linux, and virtualization environments.
- Extensive experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and managing user accounts.
- Solid foundational understanding of core networking principles including LAN, Wi-Fi, DNS, and VPN.
