We are currently looking for a skilled Tank Jack Operator to join our dynamic site team in Nigeria. In this critical role, you will be responsible for operating and monitoring double piston tank jacking systems during storage tank construction and rehabilitation projects, ensuring the highest standards of safety, precision, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Operate and monitor double piston tank jacking equipment during complex tank lifting and lowering operations.
- Conduct thorough pre-operation inspections to verify that all equipment is in safe, optimal working condition.
- Coordinate closely with the tank jacking supervisor, rigging crews, and mechanical teams to ensure synchronized lifting.
- Continuously monitor hydraulic pressure, lifting levels, equipment performance, and load distribution.
- Strictly adhere to approved lifting plans, risk assessments, method statements, and Permit-to-Work requirements.
- Identify, document, and report equipment defects, unsafe site conditions, or operational abnormalities immediately.
- Maintain accurate daily operational logs and promptly report any safety incidents or near misses.
- Ensure full compliance with company HSE policies and relevant oil and gas industry standards.
- Proven hands-on experience operating double piston tank jacking systems for storage tank rehabilitation or construction.
- Practical mechanical knowledge of hydraulic tank jacking equipment and synchronized lifting techniques.
- Relevant technical training, trade certifications, or industry-recognized qualifications in tank jacking operations.
- Strong understanding of oil and gas HSE requirements, rigorous lifting procedures, and hazard identification.
- Exceptional ability to communicate clearly and work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams.
- Valid documentation and verifiable evidence of relevant work experience and operational competency.
