About the Role
Moniepoint is a leading financial technology company digitising Africa’s real economy by building an innovative financial ecosystem for businesses. We are seeking a highly skilled System Administrator to join our growing onsite team in maintaining the stability, performance, and security of our entire IT infrastructure. In this hands-on role, you will manage core networking, server systems, automation, and end-user support to drive operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Design, implement, and maintain robust IT infrastructure including Windows Server, Linux systems, and virtualization platforms.
- Configure and troubleshoot enterprise networking equipment, firewalls, VPNs, VLANs, and core network services like DNS and DHCP.
- Develop automation scripts using Python, PowerShell, and Bash, and implement Infrastructure as Code via Terraform and Ansible.
- Enforce robust IT security policies, manage endpoint security, patch management, and identity access systems like SSO and MFA.
- Execute seamless employee onboarding and offboarding, managing hardware, software deployments, and Mobile Device Management (MDM).
- Provide expert L2/L3 technical support, resolve help desk tickets efficiently, and manage IT asset lifecycles.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience in system administration, network administration, or IT support roles.
- Advanced proficiency in Linux/Unix administration, Active Directory, and DaaS systems like Jumpcloud.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing protocols, enterprise networking, and network monitoring tools.
- Relevant industry certifications from CompTIA, Cisco, Microsoft, or Linux/Cloud platforms are highly desirable.
