About the Role
The Dangote Group is seeking a skilled and dedicated IT Application Specialist (Web) to join our dynamic technology team at our operational headquarters in Lagos, Nigeria. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the seamless operation, support, and continuous enhancement of enterprise-grade applications. You will play a vital part in aligning our technological capabilities with our overarching business goals, supporting our mission of industrial excellence across Africa.
Key Responsibilities- Provide reliable 2nd-level application support, resolving incidents and problems within strict SLA timelines while performing root cause analysis.
- Develop robust applications and enhancements utilizing C#, REST APIs, Entity Framework, MVC frameworks, and the PHP + MySQL stack.
- Design, develop, and maintain MS SQL, MySQL, and PostgreSQL databases, optimizing queries to ensure data integrity and peak performance.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, vendors, and business users to analyze functional requirements and execute seamless system integrations.
- Execute unit, integration, load, and automated testing to guarantee the stability and high quality of all deployed applications.
- Manage application rollouts, updates, and code versioning efficiently using Git.
- Leverage enterprise solutions such as SharePoint Development, Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI when required.
- Produce comprehensive technical documentation, including system specifications, test plans, and user guides.
- Possess a B.Sc. or HND in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline; an M.Sc. in a computing-related field is an added advantage.
- Bring 3 to 7 years of proven professional experience in application support, software development, or systems integration.
- Demonstrate strong proficiency in C#, PHP, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, and Object-Oriented Programming principles.
- Possess extensive database management experience, specifically with MS SQL as a strict requirement.
- Hold relevant professional certifications such as Microsoft Certified Developer, ITIL, or Agile.
