About the Role
Rising Tide Africa is part of a global movement dedicated to increasing women's participation in angel investing as an asset class. We are looking for a driven and analytical Investment Analyst to join our team in Nigeria. In this role, you will work closely with our leadership and investment committee to evaluate high-potential startups, conduct thorough due diligence, and support our broader fund formation and investor relations strategies. Key Responsibilities- Source and evaluate investment opportunities across multiple sectors and geographies.
- Review pitch decks and support recommendations to the Investment Committee.
- Conduct market research, financial modelling, company analysis, and due diligence.
- Support deal structuring, negotiations, and closing processes.
- Monitor portfolio company performance and contribute to value creation initiatives.
- Maintain internal databases, prepare investor reports, and track macroeconomic developments.
- Support legal, operational, and strategic fund setup alongside external advisers.
- Assist with Limited Partner (LP) fundraising activities, data rooms, and relationship management.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field (MBA or CFA is a plus).
- 1 to 3 years of professional experience in investment banking, venture capital, private equity, consulting, or corporate finance.
- Demonstrated expertise in financial modelling, company valuation, and rigorous investment analysis.
- Strong organisational, project management, and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation communication abilities.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other productivity tools.
