About the Role

Jumia Nigeria, the country's leading online shopping destination, is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Inventory Team Lead to join our fast-paced warehouse operations in Abuja. In this pivotal role, you will supervise a dedicated team of inventory operators, ensuring seamless stock management from receiving to final dispatch, while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise, mentor, and guide a team of inventory operators to ensure high productivity and adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Oversee the receiving, storage, counting, and tracking of inventory levels while collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize warehouse processes.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts, physical inventories, and thorough reconciliations to promptly identify and resolve stock discrepancies.
  • Monitor inventory levels and stock movements, update digital records accurately, and generate comprehensive Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reports.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and suppliers to manage inbound shipments and resolve any receiving discrepancies efficiently.
  • Maintain a clean, highly organized, and safe warehouse environment in strict compliance with safety guidelines.
  • Prepare and present regular performance reports regarding inventory management to senior leadership.
Qualifications
  • Proven professional experience in warehouse operations or inventory management, backed by demonstrated leadership capabilities.
  • Strong working knowledge of core inventory management principles, warehouse management systems (WMS), and related digital tools.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with a strong results-oriented mindset.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective team collaboration.
  • Mandatory possession of a National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) certificate or a valid exemption letter.
  • Must reside in or be readily able to commute to Abuja.
  • Flexibility to work variable shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as operational demands require.
