About the Role

X-Force Engineering Limited is a leading infrastructure and construction contract servicing company dedicated to delivering excellence across Nigeria. We are currently looking for a diligent Inventory/Store Officer to oversee the systematic receipt, storage, issuance, recording, and reconciliation of all materials and equipment at our project sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive, inspect, and verify all incoming construction materials and equipment against purchase orders and project specifications to ensure top quality.
  • Apply deep working knowledge of civil engineering materials such as rebar, structural steel, cement, aggregates, and pipes for accurate classification.
  • Record all stock movements promptly and maintain accurate inventory management systems or physical registers daily.
  • Conduct regular daily spot checks, weekly cycle counts, and full monthly physical inventory reconciliations.
  • Monitor minimum stock levels, manage reorder thresholds, and raise timely requisitions to prevent site delays.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised store applying First-In, First-Out (FIFO) principles for time-sensitive consumables.
  • Enforce strict store access controls, requiring approved Material Requisition Notes for all stock issuances.
  • Manage damaged or non-conforming goods, maintaining proper registers and coordinating necessary supplier returns.
  • Prepare comprehensive weekly and monthly stock reports for the Procurement and Project Management teams.
  • Ensure total compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards, including proper PPE usage and safe stacking practices.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or HND in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Civil Engineering Technology, or Quantity Surveying.
  • Professional certifications such as CIPS Foundation or CIPMN-recognised qualifications are an added advantage.
  • 2 to 4 years of hands-on inventory or stores management experience within the construction, infrastructure, or heavy-industry sector.
  • Demonstrated practical knowledge of construction materials and civil works consumables.
  • Proficiency in maintaining stock records using manual systems, inventory software, or ERP platforms.
  • Strong understanding of HSE-conscious site environments and safe material handling procedures.
