About the Role
Olam Agri is a market-leading, differentiated food, feed, and fiber agri-business with a global origination footprint, processing capabilities, and a deep understanding of market needs. We are currently looking for a dynamic and results-driven Biscuit Shift Manager to join our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Nigeria. In this role, you will lead shift operations, optimize production lines, and ensure our high-quality standards are consistently met while fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and coordinate daily biscuit production activities, ensuring output targets and delivery schedules are successfully met.
- Manage, mentor, and evaluate shift operators and production personnel to maximize productivity and teamwork.
- Monitor and enforce strict quality control standards for raw materials, mixing, baking, and packaging processes.
- Maintain compliance with local and international health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations and company policies.
- Troubleshoot operational and mechanical issues on the production line in collaboration with the maintenance team.
- Prepare comprehensive shift reports detailing production output, downtime, material usage, and staffing efficiencies.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste, lower production costs, and enhance overall line efficiency.
- Minimum of an Ordinary National Diploma (OND), Higher National Diploma (HND), or Bachelor Degree in Food Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven hands-on experience in biscuit manufacturing, confectionery, or fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) production environments.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate a diverse workforce.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for operational detail and quality assurance.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in spoken and written English.
