About the Role

MAX is on a mission to fix Africa's notorious last-mile delivery and mobility challenges by leveraging innovative technology and scalable operational platforms. We are currently looking for a diligent and experienced Inventory Officer to join our dynamic team in Osogbo, Osun State. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring seamless fleet maintenance and refurbishment operations by maintaining accurate stock records and driving efficient inventory management practices across our local hub.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive new stock shipments and conduct thorough physical verification while updating the ERP platform and relevant tracking sheets.
  • Issue parts to the refurbishment team and maintain accurate, real-time documentation of all outgoing inventory.
  • Dispense and record engine oil for routine maintenance on both the ERP platform and internal logs.
  • Monitor reorder levels and calculate optimal reorder quantities by analyzing internal customer request patterns.
  • Conduct weekly stock level reviews and initiate replenishment requests on Odoo to ensure uninterrupted operational availability.
  • Monitor stock movement continuously and perform routine physical cycle counts to investigate and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Raise purchase requests on Odoo for replacement parts and essential supplies needed by the fleet and refurbishment teams.
  • Analyze inventory request trends to identify fast-moving and slow-moving items, preventing capital from being tied up in inactive stock.
  • Perform any other inventory and logistics tasks assigned by management.

Qualifications
  • Hold a minimum of a BSc or HND in Finance, Accounting, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Possess 2 to 3+ years of proven experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, mechanical, technical, or fleet operational roles.
  • Prior working experience within high-growth startups, mobility, logistics, tech-enabled businesses, or ecommerce sectors is a strong advantage.
  • Demonstrate high proficiency in using MS Office Suite and Google Workspace, with advanced skills in Excel and Google Sheets.
  • Possess strong mathematical aptitude, critical thinking, and analytical problem-solving abilities.
  • Exhibit excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills with a high level of execution discipline.
