About the Role
FMR Agency is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Inventory Officer to oversee inventory management within our fast-paced retail and distribution environment in Lagos. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring stock movements, maintaining accurate inventory records, conducting routine stock reconciliations, and ensuring optimal stock levels across the business. Key Responsibilities- Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records across all stock locations.
- Receive, inspect, and accurately record incoming inventory shipments.
- Conduct routine stock counts and periodic comprehensive inventory audits.
- Investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies promptly and effectively.
- Monitor stock levels and recommend timely replenishment to prevent shortages or overstocking.
- Generate detailed inventory reports using RetailMan software and Microsoft Excel.
- Ensure proper documentation of all inventory transactions and stock movements.
- Collaborate closely with procurement, warehouse, and operations teams to maintain accuracy.
- Ensure strict compliance with internal inventory control procedures and company policies.
- Perform other inventory-related duties as assigned by management.
- Minimum of OND, HND, or B.Sc. in Accounting, Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of proven professional experience as an Inventory Officer or in a similar role.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with little or no supervision in a demanding environment.
- Mandatory proficiency in using RetailMan software for inventory tracking.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Excellent numerical, analytical, and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
- High level of integrity, accuracy, and accountability.
- Willingness to reside in the company's shared staff accommodation located in Lekki.
