About the Role
The Label Store is a leading retail supermarket dedicated to providing customers with quality groceries, household products, and excellent customer service in a convenient shopping environment. We are currently seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Inventory Officer to join our dynamic team in Kilo, Surulere, Lagos. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing and monitoring stock levels, inventory records, and stock movements to ensure seamless retail operations.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor and maintain accurate records of all stock received, transferred, issued, and sold.
- Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconcile physical stock with system records.
- Receive and verify goods delivered to the company against invoices, delivery notes, and purchase orders.
- Inspect received goods for quantity, quality, damages, and expiry dates.
- Ensure proper arrangement, labelling, and storage of goods for easy identification and stock control.
- Monitor stock levels and promptly report low-stock, excess-stock, damaged, expired, or slow-moving items.
- Investigate and report inventory discrepancies, shortages, and variances.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports for management.
- Work closely with Accounts, Procurement, Sales, and Store teams to ensure proper inventory control.
- Ensure compliance with company inventory control procedures and policies.
- Minimum of B.Sc., HND, or OND in Accounting, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- Previous experience in inventory management, stock control, warehousing, or a similar role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and inventory or accounting software.
- Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Previous experience in a supermarket, retail, or FMCG environment is a strong added advantage.
- Competitive salary range of 130,000 to 150,000 Naira monthly.
