About the Role
Montaigne Place, the leading luxury cosmetics, wellbeing, and fragrance company in Nigeria, is looking for a dedicated Inventory Assistant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the hallmark of precision, ensuring our exclusive products are accurately tracked and managed to support our high standards of sophistication and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct regular cycle counts, reconcile inventory discrepancies, and maintain accurate stock levels in WMS/ERP systems to prevent shortages or overstocking.
- Verify inbound shipments, inspect items for damage, record receipts, and assist in picking, packing, and staging outbound orders following luxury retail standards.
- Maintain SKU master data, including item dimensions, barcodes, lot or serial numbers, and reorder points.
- Enter inventory data accurately, analyze stock trends, and assist in reporting for management review.
- Prepare routine correspondence, presentations, and support general office administrative tasks as needed.
- Identify root causes of discrepancies, suggest improvements, and implement corrective actions to reduce shrinkage and support loss prevention.
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; an associate or bachelor's degree in business, finance, management, or related fields is an added advantage.
- Relevant experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or administrative support within a retail or corporate environment.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office applications, especially advanced Excel skills.
- Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional attention to detail and numerical accuracy for stock tracking and reporting.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
