About the Role

We are looking for a strategic and dedicated Sustainability Manager, Compliance & Reporting to oversee our sustainability compliance and reporting processes. In this pivotal role, you will ensure alignment with the Group ESG Strategy Framework, international standards, and regulatory requirements, helping position Oando as a responsible, forward-thinking energy leader.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advise the Board of Directors and stakeholders on ESG duties, ensuring adherence to the Group ESG Strategy Framework and relevant sustainability legislation.
  • Design, implement, and manage robust ESG reporting templates, dashboards, and databases to track KPIs and ensure data integrity.
  • Lead the drafting and delivery of comprehensive annual sustainability reports and statutory disclosures aligned with global standards such as GRI, SASB, and IFRS.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with regulators, shareholders, and auditors to protect the Group's license to operate and reputation.
  • Manage ESG project budgets, coordinate cross-functional due diligence for corporate transactions, and drive multi-stakeholder initiatives.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of ESG professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning and accountability.
Qualifications
  • First degree in Law, Environmental Studies, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 12 to 14 years of post-qualification experience in a large private or public company, with deep expertise in ESG compliance and reporting.
  • Proven mastery of international sustainability frameworks (GRI, SASB, IFRS) and stakeholder engagement.
  • Professional certifications such as GRI Sustainability Professional Certification or GARP SCR are highly desirable.
  • Prior experience within the oil and gas or energy sector is an added advantage.
