About the Role
Standard Life Organization (S.L.O), a leading NGO-Microfinance Institution dedicated to socio-economic empowerment, is seeking a diligent and proactive Internal Control Officer to join our team in Delta. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining effective internal controls, safeguarding organizational assets, and promoting operational excellence across our branches.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor compliance with established organizational policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Conduct routine operational checks, transaction reviews, and audits.
- Identify control weaknesses, irregularities, and potential operational risks.
- Review financial transactions, records, and supporting documentation thoroughly.
- Prepare clear, accurate, and timely internal control reports for management.
- Follow up on identified exceptions and ensure corrective actions are implemented promptly.
- Support investigations into operational discrepancies and fraud prevention measures.
- Collaborate with various departments to strengthen compliance and control processes.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of all control reviews and findings.
- Minimum of a B.Sc. or HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Age between 22 and 35 years.
- Strong computer literacy, including proficiency in MS Office applications and financial software.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- High level of personal integrity, confidentiality, and keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and maintain professional standards under pressure.
