BSS Consulting is seeking a dedicated and experienced Security Supervisor to join our growing team in Lagos, Nigeria. In this vital role, you will oversee day-to-day security operations, lead a team of vigilant security officers, and ensure the utmost safety of our clients' personnel and property. Key Responsibilities- Supervise, train, and mentor the security team, assigning patrol duties and conducting regular performance evaluations and team briefings.
- Manage daily security operations, develop site-specific security procedures, and optimize the placement of security equipment.
- Conduct regular patrols and site inspections to identify security vulnerabilities, hazards, or breaches, and monitor CCTV feeds for suspicious activities.
- Enforce strict access control measures, verifying identification documents to ensure only authorized personnel enter the premises.
- Respond promptly to security incidents, investigate breaches, manage emergency evacuations, and liaise professionally with local emergency services.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all incidents, surveillance logs, and security equipment inventories while ensuring full compliance with health, safety, and legal standards.
- Communicate effectively with site management and employees regarding security concerns, maintaining a calm and professional demeanor at all times.
- Must possess relevant professional qualifications and certifications in security management or a related field.
- Must reside in or in close proximity to Surulere, Lagos, to ensure prompt response times.
- Proven experience in security operations, team leadership, and access control management.
- Strong problem-solving, incident management, and communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle emergency situations efficiently.
