About the Role
Kredi Bank is a leading full-service digital bank dedicated to building a comprehensive one-stop shop for digital financial services across Africa. Licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), we focus on making financial products seamless, secure, and fully accessible to our growing consumer base. We are currently looking for a diligent and analytical Internal Control Officer to join our dynamic team in Nigeria and help us maintain the highest standards of financial integrity and risk mitigation.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct rigorous internal control reviews, comprehensive risk assessments, and systematic control testing across all operational units.
- Review daily transactions and operational processes proactively to identify irregularities, control weaknesses, and potential fraud risks.
- Monitor strict compliance with internal bank policies, standard operating procedures, and dynamic CBN regulatory requirements.
- Identify control gaps, formulate actionable recommendations, and actively monitor the implementation of corrective actions.
- Maintain comprehensive control exception logs and risk registers while preparing insightful periodic management reports.
- Provide robust support during internal and external audits, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution of all audit findings.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of proven professional experience in Internal Control, Risk Management, or Audit, preferably within a commercial bank or microfinance institution.
- Strong, up-to-date understanding of CBN regulations, compliance frameworks, and modern digital banking requirements.
- Demonstrated expertise in evaluating credit, operational, fraud, and regulatory risks within a fast-paced environment.
- Possession of relevant professional qualifications such as ACA, ACAMS, CIA, CRMA, or equivalent is an added advantage.
