About the Role
Reliable Steel & Plastic Ind. Ltd., a leading manufacturing company established in 1998, is seeking a diligent and experienced Internal Control Officer to join our growing team in Onitsha, Anambra State. In this role, you will play a critical part in safeguarding our financial and operational assets, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving continuous process improvements across our manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive operational, financial, and compliance audits across various company departments.
- Evaluate the overall effectiveness of existing internal controls and recommend strategic improvements.
- Monitor strict compliance with internal company policies, standard operating procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Identify operational risks, investigate anomalies or irregularities, and recommend timely corrective actions.
- Prepare detailed audit reports and diligently track the implementation of audit recommendations.
- Carry out routine inventory counts, asset verifications, and end-to-end process audits.
- Support proactive fraud prevention initiatives and foster a robust control culture across the organization.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 4 years of proven professional experience in internal control, internal audit, compliance, or risk management.
- Prior working experience within a plastic or steel manufacturing environment will be a strong added advantage.
- Strong analytical, investigative, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office productivity applications.
- Relevant professional certifications such as ICAN, ACCA, CIA, CISA, or ACA are highly desirable.
- Demonstrated high level of personal integrity, professional ethics, and keen attention to detail.
- Must be willing to relocate and reside in Onitsha, Anambra State.
