About the Role
Amy Consulting is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Internal Auditor to join our dynamic team in Nigeria. In this role, you will provide independent assurance on the effectiveness of our internal controls, risk management processes, and governance frameworks, helping to drive operational excellence and safeguard organisational assets.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute risk-based internal audit plans covering financial, operational, and investment processes.
- Evaluate the adequacy of internal controls, policies, and procedures across all business units.
- Identify control gaps, assess potential business risks, and ensure strict compliance with SEC regulations and other Nigerian financial industry standards.
- Prepare comprehensive internal audit reports outlining findings, root causes, and actionable recommendations.
- Monitor the timely implementation of agreed management actions and audit recommendations.
- Collaborate with management and external auditors to support regulatory reviews and assurance exercises.
- Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Professional certification such as ACA, ACCA, CIA, or ICAN is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in internal audit, compliance, or risk management within asset management, financial services, or investment banking.
- Strong working knowledge of SEC regulations and Nigerian financial sector compliance requirements.
- Exceptional analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills with high ethical standards.
