About the Role
Shuttlers is transforming the daily commute for professionals in the Lagos Metropolis by providing efficient, comfortable, and reliable shared transportation. We are currently looking for a driven and analytical Finance Analyst to join our dynamic finance team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining financial integrity, supporting internal controls, and ensuring seamless day-to-day financial operations as we scale our innovative mobility platform.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in preparing comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Support internal and external audit processes to ensure total transparency.
- Ensure payments are properly authorized and strictly aligned with approved budgets.
- Record financial transactions accurately in our accounting systems.
- Maintain organized documentation and filing systems for all financial records.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Handle sensitive financial data with the utmost confidentiality.
- Prepare monthly reconciliations of payable accounts and liaise with vendors to resolve discrepancies.
- Monitor accounts payable aging and support timely payment execution.
- Generate and issue invoices for services and track outstanding receivables to ensure timely collections.
- Support compliance with applicable Nigerian tax laws and regulations, assisting in preparing statutory filings like VAT, WHT, and PAYE.
- Prepare and update vendor payment schedules alongside monthly bank reconciliation statements.
- Track expenses, employee reimbursements, and general cash operations efficiently.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
- 0 to 2 years of relevant experience, including internships or NYSC experience.
- Foundational knowledge of core accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with modern accounting software is a strong plus.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and exceptional organizational skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities for vendor and team collaboration.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
