About the Role

COISCO Integrated Resources and Petroleum Limited is a leading indigenous oil and gas company operating in the vibrant downstream sector. We are currently seeking a competent, analytical, detail-oriented, and independent Internal Auditor to join our dynamic team. Passion, grit, and leadership are at the core of our operations, and the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in strengthening internal controls, improving operational efficiency, safeguarding company assets, ensuring compliance with established policies, and mitigating financial and operational risks across our business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular audits of company operations, financial transactions, records, and processes.
  • Perform routine and surprise audits across company stations to verify daily sales, cash collections, banking, and stock records.
  • Execute physical verification and reconciliation of inventory, equipment, and other company assets.
  • Review cash-handling processes, investigate shortages or discrepancies, and ensure proper documentation of expenses.
  • Assess operational and financial risks, evaluating compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare clear, accurate, and timely audit reports highlighting findings, risks, exceptions, and actionable recommendations.
  • Conduct thorough investigations into suspected fraud, theft, policy violations, or financial irregularities when assigned.

Qualifications
  • B.Sc. or HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in internal audit, external audit, accounting, risk, or compliance.
  • Professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, ANAN, CIA, or equivalent will be an added advantage.
  • Prior experience in retail, petroleum downstream, logistics, or multi-location operations is highly desirable.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and relevant accounting or ERP systems.
  • Exceptional analytical, investigative, communication, and problem-solving skills with an uncompromising commitment to professional ethics.
