We are currently looking for a detail-oriented Accountant to join our dynamic team and help drive our continued financial success.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee day-to-day operations for the accounts department, assign weekly performance goals, and ensure completion across the board.
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive budgetary and resource allocation plans.
- Apply thorough knowledge of accounting procedures, auditing standards, laws, rules, and regulations.
- Prepare monthly reports to analyze financial health, identify operational loopholes, and recommend risk aversion and cost-saving measures.
- Manage all records, documents, and files concerning VAT returns, VAT settlements, and transactional data.
- Process payroll accurately in conjunction with the Human Resources unit.
- Reconcile the company bank statements and bookkeeping ledgers regularly.
- Manage income and expenditure accounts and generate financial reports.
- Ensure timely filing and remittance of taxes and other statutory financial obligations.
- Bachelor Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 to 3 years of relevant accounting experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong knowledge of general accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and modern accounting software.
- Excellent attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and analytical skills.
- Good communication and organizational abilities.
- Professional accounting qualification such as ICAN, ACCA, or active part-qualification is an added advantage.
