About the Role
Ardova Plc is a leading Nigerian integrated energy company dedicated to distributing high-quality petroleum products and lubricants. We are currently looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Internal Auditor to join our growing Business Assurance team in Lagos, Nigeria. In this role, you will play a critical part in safeguarding our financial integrity, identifying operational risks, and ensuring strict adherence to company policies and industry standards across our extensive retail and supply chain network.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine and special process audits to ensure full compliance with approved policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines.
- Conduct spot checks and real-time reviews of business transactions to detect and report non-compliance, exceptions, or irregularities.
- Compile comprehensive audit reports supported by accurate facts, figures, and actionable recommendations for management.
- Assist in conducting thorough investigations into exceptions, control failures, and other reported issues.
- Prepare accurate monthly revenue assurance reports for assigned Company-Owned Company-Operated (COCO) retail stations.
- Participate actively in the execution of the annual audit plan and maintain proper archiving of all working papers.
- Evaluate internal controls during process improvements and follow up on the status of agreed-upon actions from previous audits.
- Minimum of a Second Class Lower (2:2) degree in Accounting or any business-related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience in internal audit or financial review.
- Active professional accounting qualification such as ACA or ACCA.
- Solid understanding of oil and gas business operations, governance, risk management, and internal audit standards.
- Proficiency in business analytics tools, including advanced Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI.
