About the Role
PEFTI Film Institute Limited, established in 2004 by Nigeria's foremost private film and television production company Wale Adenuga Productions, is seeking a meticulous and driven Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. Located in Nigeria, our institution provides top-tier professional training in film, television, and music production. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining the financial health of our organization while supporting our mission to revolutionize the creative industries through quality education and professional excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Manage day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.
- Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and statements in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Assist in the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes for various institutional departments.
- Reconcile bank accounts, monitor cash flow, and ensure timely resolution of financial discrepancies.
- Handle payroll processing, tax computations, and statutory remittances to relevant Nigerian government agencies.
- Liaise with internal and external auditors during periodic financial audits and reviews.
- Maintain proper documentation of all financial records, receipts, and invoices to guarantee transparency and accountability.
- Bachelor's degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Professional certification or active student membership with ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent bodies is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 2 to 4 years of proven accounting experience, preferably within the education, media, or corporate sector.
- Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
