About the Role
Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospitals Complex (OAUTHC) is a premier federal tertiary health institution dedicated to providing exceptional healthcare services, medical education, and research. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented, dedicated, and skilled professional to join our finance department as an Accountant II.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain accurate financial records, ledgers, and accounts in compliance with public sector standards.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and budgetary reports.
- Process financial transactions, including payroll, invoice verifications, and expenditure tracking.
- Reconcile bank statements and resolve any financial discrepancies promptly.
- Support internal and external audit processes by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Ensure adherence to financial regulations, guidelines, and statutory requirements applicable to federal health institutions in Nigeria.
- Possession of a good university degree in Accounting from a recognized institution.
- Evidence of completion, exemption, or exclusion from the mandatory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) scheme.
- Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in the use of accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Excel.
- High level of integrity, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in a team.
