As we continue our strategic expansion, we are currently seeking a skilled and meticulous Internal Auditor to join our growing finance team in Lagos. In this vital role, you will help safeguard our assets, ensure regulatory compliance, and optimize our internal financial processes to support our long-term business objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive financial, operational, and compliance audits to ensure adherence to internal company policies and external Nigerian regulatory standards.
- Review accounting records, financial reports, and operational procedures to verify accuracy, completeness, and proper authorization.
- Identify potential financial risks, operational inefficiencies, and control weaknesses, subsequently recommending actionable improvements to internal controls.
- Prepare clear, detailed audit reports and present actionable findings and recommendations directly to executive management.
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure timely implementation of audit recommendations and corrective action plans.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related business discipline.
- Minimum of 4 years of proven professional audit experience within a structured corporate environment.
- Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective reporting and stakeholder management.
- Important Constraints: Applicants must currently reside in Lagos, Nigeria, and must not be older than 35 years of age.
