About the Role
The MUSE Boutique Hotel is an upscale, five-star hospitality establishment situated in Independence Layout, Enugu, offering a sophisticated environment for corporate executives and premium leisure guests. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Internal Auditor to join our esteemed finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for examining financial records, evaluating internal controls, and ensuring regulatory compliance across all hotel departments to protect our assets and enhance operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, execute, and report on comprehensive financial and operational audits across all hotel departments.
- Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal control systems, accounting procedures, and risk management practices.
- Conduct regular inventory checks, cash counts, and revenue audits to prevent fraud and minimize financial discrepancies.
- Review compliance with local tax laws, labor regulations, and internal company policies.
- Prepare clear, concise audit reports detailing findings, risk assessments, and actionable recommendations for management.
- Collaborate with department heads to resolve audit discrepancies and implement corrective action plans.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 to 4 years of proven internal audit or accounting experience, preferably within the hospitality or service industry.
- Professional certifications such as ACA, ACCA, or CIA are strongly preferred.
- Strong proficiency in financial software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
