About the Role
Skipper Eye-Q Speciality Eye Hospital is a renowned international eye care institution with a strong global presence, operating a network of 42 specialized eye hospitals across India and Nigeria. We are currently seeking a dynamic and dedicated Account Officer to join our finance team in Nigeria. In this pivotal role, you will manage financial transactions, oversee referral partner accounts, and ensure the seamless processing of commissions to support our continuous growth and exceptional patient care delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain and update comprehensive records of referral doctors, clinics, and health maintenance organizations (HMOs).
- Calculate, verify, and process accurate payments, commissions, and referral fees for practitioners and partner institutions.
- Manage accounts receivable, generate invoices for referred patients, and diligently follow up on outstanding payments.
- Maintain up-to-date CRM databases of all referral sources while tracking patient volume trends.
- Perform regular account reconciliations with the general ledger and prepare detailed weekly and monthly financial reports.
- Serve as the primary liaison for inquiries from referral partners regarding billing, patient status, and payment queries.
- Collaborate closely with the marketing department to evaluate and track the financial success of promotional campaigns.
- Possession of a Bachelor's degree (BSc) or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accounting.
- Minimum of 2 to 3 years of proven professional experience as an Account Officer, preferably within the healthcare or hospital sector.
- Strong analytical capabilities with the proficiency to interpret complex financial data and referral records.
- Advanced software proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables, alongside accounting packages such as SAP, Sage 50, QuickBooks, or hospital information systems.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to foster strong relationships with external medical partners.
