We are currently recruiting a dynamic, results-driven Internal Auditor for our client in the thriving manufacturing sector in Nigeria. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in evaluating internal operations, mitigating financial risks, and championing regulatory compliance to safeguard company assets.
Key Responsibilities- Perform comprehensive risk assessments of manufacturing operations and develop robust annual audit plans.
- Conduct rigorous internal audits to evaluate the efficacy of internal controls, financial systems, and operational procedures.
- Review financial statements, accounting records, and operational documentation to identify discrepancies and operational inefficiencies.
- Ensure strict adherence to company policies, industry regulations, and statutory compliance requirements.
- Prepare comprehensive audit reports detailing actionable findings, risk mitigations, and strategic recommendations for management.
- Communicate audit results effectively to senior management, department heads, and key stakeholders.
- Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations and provide hands-on guidance for corrective actions.
- Stay abreast of evolving industry trends, manufacturing sector regulations, and best practices in internal auditing.
- Collaborate on special projects, forensic investigations, and organization-wide process improvement initiatives.
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business discipline.
- Professional certification such as ACA, CPA, or CIA is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of demonstrable internal audit experience within the manufacturing or logistics industry.
- Deep understanding of internal control frameworks and risk management principles, including COSO and SOX.
- Proficiency in utilizing advanced data analysis and specialized auditing software such as ACL or IDEA.
