About the Role
Ziba Beach Resort, Nigeria’s premier overwater beach resort, is looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Internal Audit Officer to join our dynamic finance team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in safeguarding our financial assets, ensuring operational compliance, and supporting overall business integrity in a vibrant hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities- Review and reconcile daily revenue from room bookings, restaurants, day passes, spa services, and recreational outlets.
- Verify cash, POS, bank transfers, and digital payment transactions against sales records and system reports for absolute accuracy.
- Conduct thorough daily audits of financial transactions, guest bills, invoices, receipts, and payment records to detect and resolve discrepancies.
- Monitor compliance with established financial policies, operational procedures, and internal control standards across all departments.
- Collaborate closely with management to prevent revenue leakages and implement robust internal control processes.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of proven experience in internal audit, financial reconciliation, or accounting, preferably within the hospitality industry.
- Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail and high ethical standards.
- Proficiency in financial software, property management systems, and Microsoft Excel.
