About the Role
Eastern Plains Integrated Farms Limited (EPIFL) is a leading integrated agribusiness enterprise located in Igbariam, Anambra State, Nigeria, specializing in large-scale poultry production to meet the nation's growing protein needs. We are seeking a meticulous and driven Internal Audit & Control Officer to support our internal control framework, ensure regulatory compliance, and optimize operational efficiency across our agricultural facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive internal audits across finance, operations, procurement, and inventory management.
- Review existing internal controls and recommend robust improvements to mitigate potential business risks.
- Monitor strict compliance with company policies, operational procedures, and relevant regulatory requirements.
- Identify control gaps, fraud risks, and operational inefficiencies within the agricultural production cycle.
- Prepare detailed, objective audit reports featuring clear findings and actionable strategic recommendations.
- Follow up proactively on identified audit issues to ensure timely and effective resolution.
- Support regular physical stock counts, fixed asset verification, and end-to-end process reviews.
- Assist management and external auditors during statutory audits and compliance checks.
- Possession of an HND or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- In-progress or completed professional certification such as ICAN, ACCA, CIA, or equivalent is a strong advantage.
- Minimum of 2 years of proven professional experience in internal audit, internal control, or risk management within FMCG, manufacturing, or agricultural sectors.
- Demonstrated strong understanding of internal control principles, financial audit processes, and statutory compliance.
- Exceptional analytical thinking skills with a high level of attention to detail.
