About the Role
Sunbeth Global Concepts (SGC) is a reputable trading firm specializing in the export of premium quality raw cocoa beans and cashew from Nigeria. Our expertise in sourcing, quality control, and logistics makes us a reliable partner for global businesses. We are currently seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Internal Audit Assistant Manager to support the development and execution of our internal audit strategy by leading audits, assessing risks, and ensuring strict compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in developing the annual risk-based internal audit plan and lead assigned audit engagements across various departments.
- Conduct thorough process reviews, control testing, substantive testing, and evaluate the adequacy of internal controls.
- Assess compliance with internal policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), statutory obligations, and industry regulations.
- Prepare detailed audit working papers, draft actionable audit reports, and present findings to management.
- Review financial statements, conduct inventory audits, warehouse verifications, and evaluate procurement and vendor management processes.
- Support fraud investigations, special audit assignments, and recommend process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
- Review audit work performed by junior team members and provide on-the-job coaching and knowledge transfer.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is a significant advantage.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of professional internal audit experience, ideally within a multi-entity or group structure.
- Strong working knowledge of IFRS, internal control frameworks, and comprehensive risk management principles.
