About the Role
Dangote Group, Africa's leading diversified business conglomerate, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Instrumentation Engineer for our Apapa Terminal facility in Lagos, Nigeria. In this critical role, you will be responsible for implementing instrumentation engineering and maintenance policies to guarantee optimal plant availability, safety, and production efficiency across our operations.
Key Responsibilities- Execute routine check-ups of instrumentation equipment according to maintenance schedules, workload, and workforce availability.
- Coordinate testing, repairing, calibration, and troubleshooting of advanced Instrumentation Control systems.
- Allocate work orders and supervise instrumentation technicians to ensure strict adherence to quality and safety standards.
- Endorse work feedback and close out maintenance work orders within the company database.
- Liaise closely with mechanical and electrical sections to establish seamless integration between operations and maintenance teams.
- Prepare and review comprehensive maintenance performance reports, including Preliminary Failure and Root Cause Analysis Reports.
- Bachelor of Science in Electronics and Communication Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- 3 to 6 years of relevant engineering experience, preferably within a heavy manufacturing or cement plant environment.
- In-depth technical knowledge of VFD and UPS operations, industrial weighing systems, and Instrument Load centers.
- Familiarity with ISO quality management systems and adherence to standard operational duty logs.
