About the Role
Yaba College of Technology, Nigeria's premier higher institution and a leader in academic and vocational excellence, is seeking a dedicated and dynamic professional to join our academic community as an Instructor II in the Department of Food Science Technology under the School of Technology. Established in 1947, YABATECH has a rich history of providing top-tier education in technology, applied science, and commerce, fostering a vibrant learning environment for our 15,000 students across 64 accredited programmes.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, practical demonstrations, and tutorials to National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) students in Food Science Technology.
- Assist senior academic staff in curriculum development, laboratory management, and the coordination of departmental research projects.
- Assess and evaluate student coursework, examinations, and practical training reports, providing constructive feedback to enhance learning outcomes.
- Participate actively in departmental meetings, academic committees, and institutional events contributing to the growth of the college.
- Engage in continuous professional development and contribute to community service initiatives related to food technology and safety.
- Possession of a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Food Science Technology or a closely related relevant discipline from a recognized institution with a minimum of Lower Credit.
- Mandatory possession of the NYSC Discharge Certificate or exemption letter.
- Demonstrated passion for teaching, academic research, and student mentorship.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
