Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver comprehensive practical and theoretical instruction in welding and fabrication engineering to National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) students.
  • Supervise student workshops, laboratory sessions, and hands-on fabrication projects to ensure safety and precision.
  • Design, develop, and produce functional fabrication projects in alignment with the academic curriculum and industry standards.
  • Assess student performance, grade assignments, and provide constructive feedback to foster professional growth.
  • Collaborate with departmental colleagues to update course materials and enhance engineering training programs.
  • Maintain workshop equipment and ensure compliance with institutional health and safety regulations.
Qualifications
  • Possess a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Welding and Fabrication Engineering or a relevant discipline from a recognized institution with a minimum of Lower Credit.
  • Have at least three (3) years of post-qualification cognate experience in a similar academic or industrial setting.
  • Alternatively, serve as an Instructor II with a minimum of three (3) years of satisfactory cognate experience on that cadre.
  • Provide verifiable evidence of the production or fabrication of at least one (1) functional project in the relevant discipline.
  • Demonstrate strong communication, instructional, and practical technical skills.
