Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH), Nigeria's premier higher institution, is seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to join our esteemed faculty as an Instructor I in Industrial Maintenance Engineering. In this vital academic role, you will help shape the next generation of engineers by delivering comprehensive instruction, supervising practical workshop sessions, and fostering innovation within our Department of Engineering.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging theoretical and practical lectures in Industrial Maintenance Engineering across National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) levels.
- Supervise student workshops, laboratory sessions, and hands-on technical projects to ensure adherence to safety standards.
- Participate in curriculum development, departmental meetings, and student academic advising.
- Contribute to institutional research, community development, and innovative engineering fabrication projects.
- Assess student performance, grade examinations, and maintain accurate academic records.
- A Higher National Diploma (HND) in Industrial Maintenance Engineering or a relevant discipline from a recognized institution with a minimum of Lower Credit.
- At least three (3) years of post-qualification cognate experience, accompanied by evidence of fabricating at least one functional project in the relevant discipline.
- Alternatively, serving as an Instructor II with a minimum of three (3) years of satisfactory cognate experience on that cadre, plus evidence of a functional project fabrication.
- Strong working knowledge of modern industrial maintenance techniques, safety protocols, and technical education standards.
