About the Role
Yaba College of Technology, Nigeria's premier higher institution, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Instructor I to join our esteemed Department of Agricultural Technology. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping the next generation of agricultural professionals by delivering high-quality practical training, fostering innovation, and mentoring students across various academic levels.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging practical and theoretical lessons in Animal Production Technology to National Diploma and Higher National Diploma students.
- Supervise student practical sessions, agricultural projects, and field training activities.
- Design, develop, and fabricate functional instructional projects within the discipline.
- Participate in departmental curriculum review, departmental meetings, and academic board activities.
- Assess and evaluate student performance through examinations, practical tests, and continuous assessments.
- Engage in departmental research and community service initiatives related to agricultural development.
- A Higher National Diploma (HND) in Animal Production Technology or a relevant discipline from a recognized institution with a minimum of Lower Credit.
- At least three (3) years of post-qualification cognate experience.
- Compulsory evidence of the production or fabrication of at least one (1) functional project in the relevant discipline.
- Alternatively, a serving Instructor II with at least three (3) years of satisfactory cognate experience on that cadre and the requisite project fabrication evidence.
