About the Role
Premiere Urgence Internationale (PUI) is an international, non-profit, apolitical, and secular NGO dedicated to assisting civilian victims of marginalization, natural disasters, and conflicts. We are currently looking for a dedicated and proactive Information Technology Officer to join our team in Nigeria. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth operation of all IT and communication systems across our mission bases, directly supporting our humanitarian objectives by empowering our staff with reliable technology.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the installation, licensing, and troubleshooting of mission software, anti-virus programs, and Microsoft Office suites.
- Administer the mission SharePoint platform, ensuring digital archiving, synchronous OneDrive backups, and staff cybersecurity training in compliance with NDPA regulations.
- Provide technical support and routine maintenance for IT hardware, printers, scanners, and radio communication devices.
- Oversee email creation, password databases, and the standardization of email signatures in coordination with HQ IT.
- Monitor internet consumption, manage communication credit, and liaise with service providers to resolve connectivity issues.
- Maintain an accurate, up-to-date IT asset register, conduct tagging, and ensure compliance with asset management policies.
- Prepare regular monthly reports on IT and communication inventories for the Deputy Logistics Coordinator.
- Bachelor Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 2 to 4 years of professional experience in IT support, network administration, or asset management, preferably within an NGO or humanitarian context.
- Strong knowledge of software installation, database management, SharePoint administration, and cybersecurity practices.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills for hardware, printers, and radio communication devices.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to train and guide non-technical staff.
- High level of integrity, accountability, and attention to detail.
