About the Role
The Katsina State Government is seeking a dynamic and dedicated professional to fill the role of Information Officer II on Grade Level (GL 08). In this vital position, you will help shape public perception, manage government communication channels, and foster strong community relations across the state. Key Responsibilities- Draft, edit, and distribute press releases, public announcements, and official speeches for government parastatals.
- Monitor media coverage and prepare comprehensive reports on public perception regarding state policies and programs.
- Manage content for official government websites, social media platforms, and print publications.
- Coordinate press briefings, media tours, and public enlightenment campaigns across various local government areas.
- Collaborate with diverse ministries and stakeholders to ensure consistent and accurate information flow to the public.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, Social Sciences, or English from a recognized and accredited institution.
- Must possess a mandatory NYSC discharge or exemption certificate.
- Must be an indigene of Katsina State, aged between 18 and 49 years.
- Must successfully pass the competitive merit-based civil service recruitment test.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with proficiency in English and local languages.
