About the Role
The Federal University of Allied Health Sciences, Enugu (FUAHSE), established in March 2024 following the transformation of the former Federal College of Dental Technology and Therapy, is dedicated to bridging Nigeria's healthcare manpower gap. With six faculties and seventeen departments, we are committed to producing innovative, skilled, and proactive professionals. We are currently seeking a dynamic and driven Information Officer II to join our vibrant academic community and effectively manage our public communications, media relations, and institutional branding.
Key Responsibilities- Draft, edit, and distribute press releases, newsletters, and official university publications to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage the university's official public relations channels, ensuring consistent messaging across print and digital media.
- Assist in organizing press conferences, university events, ceremonies, and academic functions.
- Collaborate with various academic departments and administrative units to gather news and highlight institutional achievements.
- Monitor media coverage related to the university and compile reports for management review.
- Maintain a comprehensive database of media contacts and foster positive relationships with journalists and media houses.
- A good university degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, Public Relations, English Language, or a related field from a recognized institution.
- Relevant professional certifications or experience in information management, public relations, or corporate communications will be an added advantage.
- Demonstrated competence, unwavering integrity, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
