About the Role
Bradfield Consulting is seeking a dedicated and strategic In-House Lawyer to join our dynamic legal team in Nigeria. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in safeguarding our organizational interests, ensuring strict regulatory compliance, and driving our business forward with sound legal counsel.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough legal research, interpret relevant Nigerian laws and regulations, and provide actionable legal advice to internal stakeholders.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a comprehensive range of commercial contracts and agreements to minimize organizational risk.
- Manage corporate governance matters, including preparing board resolutions, corporate filings, and maintaining statutory records.
- Monitor changes in regulatory frameworks, advising management on compliance requirements and implementing proactive risk mitigation policies.
- Assist in managing litigation and alternative dispute resolution processes, effectively coordinating with external legal counsel when necessary.
- Serve as a primary liaison between business units and legal departments, ensuring seamless communication and strategic alignment.
- Possession of a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) degree and Call to Nigerian Bar (B.L) certificate.
- Minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) gained from a reputable law firm or a corporate in-house legal department.
- In-depth knowledge of corporate law, commercial contracting, dispute resolution, and regulatory compliance.
- Exceptional analytical, negotiation, and communication skills with high ethical standards.
