About the Role
Olive Grove College is a premier, co-educational Christian secondary institution situated in Ugwuomu Nike, Enugu, Nigeria, established to bridge the gap between advanced academic scholarship and comprehensive spiritual development. We are currently seeking a passionate and qualified Igbo Teacher to join our dynamic faculty and help students master the Igbo language and cultural traditions.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and interactive Igbo language lessons aligned with the secondary school curriculum.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support academic improvement.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and disciplined classroom environment conducive to effective learning and cultural appreciation.
- Organize and participate in cultural activities, debates, and school events that promote the Igbo heritage.
- Collaborate with colleagues and school administration to enhance overall student development and curriculum delivery.
- Bachelor's Degree or HND in Igbo Language, Linguistics, Education, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of proven teaching experience in a recognized secondary school setting.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
