Key Responsibilities- Provide strong academic and administrative leadership within the Department of Medical Microbiology and the College of Medical Laboratory Science.
- Engage in high-impact teaching, curriculum development, and mentorship for undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- Supervise postgraduate research projects and dissertations to foster a culture of rigorous scientific inquiry.
- Publish cutting-edge research findings in reputable, peer-reviewed local and international journals.
- Collaborate with faculty leadership to secure research grants and build strategic partnerships with healthcare institutions.
- Participate actively in departmental administration, university committees, and community engagement initiatives.
- Must possess a PhD in Medical Microbiology or a closely related relevant discipline from a recognized university.
- Minimum of ten (10) years of cognate university teaching, research, and administrative experience.
- Demonstrated record of outstanding academic leadership and a substantial portfolio of publications in reputable peer-reviewed outlets.
- Proven track record in successful postgraduate student supervision and curriculum execution.
- Current professional registration and a valid, up-to-date practising licence where applicable.
- Exceptional ICT proficiency with strong communication, interpersonal, and collaborative teaching skills.
